A Kevin Dubrow/Randy Rhoads Tribute
Nov 28th, 2007 by Guitar MX Admin
Quiet Riot singer Kevin Dubrow was found dead in his Las Vegas home on Sunday, November 25th. It’s uncertain yet how he died, or even when. He may have been dead up to six days before his body was discovered. Kevin was the colorful frontman of Quiet Riot, who are probably best known for bringing heavy metal music to the radio in the early 80’s with their hits ‘Cum on Feel the Noize’ and ‘Metal Health’. To guitar enthusiasts, Quiet Riot is also known for being the one-time band of guitar legend Randy Rhoads before he joined Ozzy Osbourne.
Here is a great video of the original Quiet Riot, when Randy Rhoads was in the band. Although their fashion may not have stood the test of time, Randy’s guitar playing does. Be sure to check out all three videos. There is some great guitar playing by Randy, as well as clips from an interview with both Randy and Kevin.

Great guitar playing from Rhodes, but man that tone is so terrible on that early QR! And the songs are, um, other than good.
“other than good” is a nice way to put it
