As Chinese Democracy Flops, Rumor Of A Guns N’ Roses Reunion Spreads
Dec 10th, 2008 by Guitar MX Admin
It’s official, the long awaited Guns N’ Roses album “Chinese Democracy” is a flop. The album debuted at #3, selling only 261,000 copies in the US during its first week. There are various reasons the album has flopped and Axl Roses has gone AWOL, doing absolutely no promotion for the album he has worked on for 15 years. What’s he doing? There is a rumor that Axl is trying to reunite Gun’s N’ Roses old lineup.
Former GN’R guitarist Izzy Stradlin is open to a reunion, and former drummer Steven Adler is expecting it. Meanwhile, Velvet Revolver has been dropped from their label, which leaves Slash and bassist Duff McKagan available.
Here’s a video of the above lineup back in their glory days. The old lineup would certainly spark some new interest into the latest album.
