| Luis Alberto Paredes is a musical craftsman who makes fine classic stringed instruments from his family-run workshop in Bogota, Columbia. He recently began transforming shotguns and AK-47’s into electric guitars. The guns, which were donated by the Columbian government, were used by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) during the country’s ongoing conflict. |  |
The guitars have become quite popular, and have been used onstage by guitarists, and have even made an appearance at a UN function.
