The results of the Guitar World Readers Poll 2008 are in, and are published in the March edition of Guitar World, which is available now. Dimebag Darrel was easily voted into the Guitar World Hall of Fame, and is featured in this special edition of Guitar World.

Well, i don’t agree with some of them. Personally I don’t consider (like I have never and I will never) Slash best rock guitarist. Come on! I like Guns very much, ok for Velvet Revolver, but I have always considered Slash when soloing like a cat falling on his feet but always giving me the chills, always having the impression he’ll miss a note or a tempo somewhere.
I like him and his work, but come on, best guitarist?!!
I agree with you. Slash is a great rock guitarist, but he beat out Jack White, Jimmy Page and Alex Lifeson? Come on. I thought most of the poll results were kind of boring and predictable. Glad Dimebag won, but that was pretty obvious.
If I see one more YouTube video of some fat guy’s fat, doughy gut and crotch shot while he plays some guitar piece, I think I’ll need Cialis to get my mojo back.
Think Slash really deserved it!!! He”s the best..
