I can’t understand how Joe Satriani can be in that list. I like Crying, really and Satriani is nothing but technical and beautiful solos, I wouldn’t have imagined him in such a list. But also, Santana is there…
That was one of the choices I disagreed with as well, but the fact that CC Deville shows up on the list 3 times gives it some legitimacy.
Some I agree with, some I don’t. It seams some songs on the list are just unpopular, which doesn’t make a bad guitar solo. Good list in general though.
Bad list, it has some really awesome solos in it, bad solo really means the player can’t play or it is really bad composed
I hate this list, it has so many awesome solos in it, maker has no idea of bad solos, if you want to see bad solo, go see fred durst trying to play guitar in their live show, this list has many awesome solos in it like Walk this way, cryin’, know your enemy, cult of personality, foxy lady, epic and many more. This list has sucky players too like that CC Neville solo but really, next time when doing this, take really sucky solos, not awesome ones!
this is bulsheet omfg the solo of walk this way is bad solo?!?! that is one of the best solos from joe perry or the solo from firehouse maybe it’s easy to play but it isn’t bad it’s so melodic and beautifull…
Old thread but this list is still infamous… I agree with a lot of these, even when it comes to my all-time favorite Jimi Hendrix. Foxey Lady IS a bad solo, though the rhythm guitar and “notched neck” intro are classic.
On the other hand, I disagree about “Eminence Front”. Elecro-funk rhythm or not, it was The Who’s best post-Keith Moon track…and try duplicating Townshend’s jazzy, lyrical introduction solo note for note. It’s not easy (heavily syncopated AND in F). Pete played this solo on 0.12 Gibson Sonomatic strings, btw…
Dude. “Brain Stew” doesn’t even have a guitar solo. What are you talking about?
