Happy New Year everyone. It’s been a great year for Guitar MX. This blog was created in 2007, and has worked to bring our readers some of the most interesting and current guitar news.
By far, the most popular story on the Guitar MX blog for 2007 was the story ‘Guitar Lessons Removed From YouTube in Copyright Dispute‘. The story talked about how David Taub of NextLevelGuitar.com was forced to remove his video lessons from his popular YouTube channel under pressure from the RIAA.

Well, I didn’t know about removing lessons from YouTube. Tabs, lesson, what will be next? How about removing people playing other people’s songs?
I wouldn’t be surprised if that were next. There was news this week about lawyers from the RIAA considering going after people for ripping CD’s for their own personal use.
