Van Halen Reunites, Almost

The big news in the music world this week was the announcement by Van Halen that they would be touring this year with David Lee Roth. This isn’t exactly a reunion; former bassist Michael Anthony was not invited on the tour. In his place will be Wolfgang Van Halen on bass, Ed’s 16 year-old son. Although it’s unlikely that he plays bass as well as Michael, he certainly has a good pedigree.
Here is a video from the press conference held earlier this week, with hugs and kiss between EVH and DLR. As expected. Diamond Dave is at no loss for words.

Congrats if your city is on the top of the list, because there’s probably a 50/50 chance that this tour will make it all the way through December.
Never seen Van Halen on concert, I was not going to see it, Van Halen tickets got sky rocked thanks to stupid brokers. But even if I had seen it, I wouldn’t buy it. I’d rather wait and see it on DVD.
